USER STORY PART #1

Meet the Levy family.

Two weeks after...

princess Daniela is born.

INTRODUCTION

Maternity leave is a very challenging period. At this period, a mother stays alone at home with the baby, while her husband returns to work to support with the family income and all relatives continue with their life routine.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

"It is difficult to cope with several tasks in parallel: taking care of the baby, the bigger kids, laundry handling, cleaning, cooking, animals, and myself."

"I am home but always busy with the baby and not available for house duties."

MARKET RESEARCH

In the first step, I performed consumer research to understand the problem.

In the Second Step, I have searched for an app for moms. I found that there is a lot of app for moms. when to get pregnant, pregnancy tracking, baby care follow-up, and communications between moms but no application for the stated problem.

The third Step I was looking for a similar app in parallel worlds and these are the conclusions

Minimalist and clear interface to help navigate between multiple tasks.
Task status must have clear visual representation for easy progress tracking
Easy, clear and quick task creation.

The fourth Step I have searched in social networks and found in Facebook groups that support new moms by volunteering moms that includes: cooking, mental support, guidance on how to take care of the baby, babysitting. These are the conclusions

Increasing task completion rate by creating a support environment which is willing to help
Maintain privacy of consumer by receiving support from familiar people.

USER RESEARCH

User research was done among app potential users Moms 30-45 age years old at maternity leave after second or third birth. These are the conclusions

Broadening of assistance group environment from husband and parents to siblings, friends and neighbors.
Using "gamification" to reduce the barrier of "asking for support".
Intensive routine requires easy and quick process of task definition and sharing with several people.
Time saving in tasks performance coordination will save precious time for the moms. Helpers can easily choose and take on different tasks, every change is synchronized between the members of support group.

Potential assistants 30-75 age years old. These are the conclusions

Creation of long-term tasks list will allow the helpers to plan and to maximize their support.
Updated information on task status.
Communication between all assistants will allow efficient coordination between them.
Using "gamification" to encourage– personal picture on each assistance and crowns to the month champions.

THE SOLUTION

You are not alone My solution is an app that will allow moms after birth to build assistance group of relatives, that will support her during maternity leave with house management and day-to-day tasks.

Comfort and increase of life quality during maternity leave.

Mom registration. Creating an assistance group and adding tasks to the task board.

USER STORY PART #2

Levy family week after Daniela's birth.

UX PHASE

Onboarding one week after birth, when mom Gili has already returned back home she decides to download the app. At first "Onboarding" screen appears and introduces her app attributes and value.

Next step she creates the group.

Dashboard Now Gili reaches the Task Board.

New Task can choose from the task list or create her own task.

Notification. Sign Up Grandmother Lily receives an invitation to the group from her daughter Gili, she enters the link and registers.

Dashboard On the next step, she reaches the tasks board and chooses the task that she would like to assist with :"To cook dinner".

Tip Grandmother Lily receives a Tip.

Notification. Dashboard Mom Gili receives notification that grandmother Lily choose to cook dinner.

Dashboard Arrives the day for grandma Lily to complete the task. Mom Gili came

update the status to completed.

Notification. Thanks And Sending grandmother Lily present that she made especially for her.

Outstanding A month passed and the Champion list is published and Grandmother Lily is the Cooking champion.

DESIGN CONCEPT

I designed a couple of pages to illustrate the possible user interface. Soft colors and graphic elements were chosen to bring a calm and comforting feeling and put a smile on user's face. This will allow the user to gain value of comfort and will increase the Mom quality of life during maternity leave.
